A quick guide to the best fishing in each season.
Feeder and float season – roach, bream and carp are the top trophies. Trout lakes offer finesse lure fishing, and from 16 April the trout rivers open for fly fishing and BFS.
Anything goes – every technique works. From 16 June the main predator season opens: time for chub, asp, perch and catfish.
The best predator season – pike, zander and big perch. On trout rivers it's prime time for grayling on nymphs and dry flies.
Not peak season, but when the weather allows, ice fishing on small lakes and ponds is a chance to try mormyshka or light jigging. Rainbow trout is the main catch.
Tap a fish to see when and how we catch it.
The water wolf – explosive strikes on big lures and soft plastics. Autumn brings the biggest fish – and in winter we hunt it through the ice.
Striped and greedy – perfect for light lures in summer and tiny mormyshka jigs through the ice.
Europe’s fastest river predator, chasing baitfish on the surface – pure topwater adrenaline.
Clever and strong – takes small lures, flies and baits. A favourite on light BFS tackle.
The giant of Czech rivers – fish of over two metres live here. Ask about a dedicated catfish day.
Brown trout in clear mountain streams, rainbows in the lakes – and through the ice in winter.
The lady of the stream with her sail-like fin – a classic on nymphs and dry flies.
Big, golden and powerful – a Czech tradition for centuries. Fish of 13–15 kg are possible on light tackle.
Seasons are a guide – exact dates depend on the water and its rules.
