Frequently asked questions

Pick a topic, then tap a question.

How much does a trip cost?

A half day (4 hours on the water) starts from €180, a full day (8 hours) from €270 – the total for your group of up to three, with hotel pickup, tackle and licence included. Fly fishing trips are full-day only. See prices & booking.

Can you pick me up from my hotel?

Yes, hotel pickup and drop-off are included – anywhere in Prague.

What language do you guide in?

English, Russian or Japanese.

Do I need a fishing licence?

Yes – and I help you arrange it before the trip. Read the licence guide.

Do I keep the fish?

Most of my trips are catch and release, and every fish is handled with care. On some waters you may take a fish according to the local rules – just ask me before the trip.

Do you provide tackle?

Yes, tackle hire is included: rods, reels, lures and bait. You’re welcome to bring your own too.

I’ve never fished before. Is that OK?

Absolutely – many of my clients are beginners. I’ll teach you everything step by step, from the first cast to landing your first fish, with tackle that’s easy to use.

Can I bring my kids or a non-fishing partner?

Yes! Kids love float fishing, and partners who don’t fish are welcome to come along and enjoy a day by the water. Just tell me when you book.

When is the best time to come?

Every season has its fish: feeder fishing in spring, everything in summer, predators and grayling in autumn and, with good ice, ice fishing in winter. See what’s biting through the year.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Light rain is often great for fishing, so we usually go. If it’s dangerous – storms, high water or unsafe ice – I’ll suggest another date.
